What We Do
OPCS oversights the implementation of Government priority policies, programmes and projects, with particular attention to those that anchor the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BeTA). OPCS ensures that projects under implementation are on track, and if not, the OPCS provides support to resolve or unblock what is hampering implementation. This requires an effective coordination system.
OPCS also coordinates National Government legislative agenda. The OPCS has developed a system of tracking proposed policies, bills and regulations, and citizen engagement in the legislative process.
Further, OPCS is in charge of implementation of National Government Coordination (NGC), a coordination framework that ensures Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and other key stakeholders engage, problem-solve and make decisions that ensures a quicker, inclusive and more effective implementation of service delivery. This cross-cutting approach to delivery seeks to reenergize working within the government and avoids duplicity.
